Welcome to the 2010 Call for Convention Events! The theme for this year's convention is Meeting the Challenge.
We are no longer accepting proposals for forums, roundtables, poster sessions, or the Innovations Theatre. We will continue to accept proposals for business meetings and social events until November 30, 2009.
Use the Submit an Event link in the left navigation bar to submit a business meeting or social event.
What You Need to Know about Hosting a Business Meeting/Social Event
Cost
There is no charge for the meeting room. The organization hosting the event is responsible for paying for and making catering arrangements and audiovisual equipment rental. Catering arrangements will be made with the assigned venue. Menus will be made available in January 2010. Audiovisual equipment can be rented through the official 2010 convention A/V provider.
Scheduling
Business meeting and social events are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Meetings and events will not be scheduled during AACC convention programming. AACC will make every effort to schedule the meeting or event at the requested date and time.
The following times are available to host a meeting or social event:
- Friday: All day
- Saturday: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm- 11:30 pm
- Sunday: 7:00 am - 8:30 am and 6:30 pm - 11:00 pm
- Monday: 7:00 am - 8:30 am
Submitting a Proposal for Future Conventions
The Call for Convention Events usually opens each year at the end of August and closes around mid October. Submission is made online through the AACC Web site.
