AACC Funded Grants

Federal and Other Funding Opportunities

  • The U.S. Department of Energy is accepting applications for projects funded through the federal stimulus legislation to facilitate the development of a highly skilled electric power workforce to help implement a national clean energy Smart Grid. Activities include developing and enhancing workforce training programs. Eligibility is unrestricted. The department will award up to 45 grants, totaling $100 million.   • The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is accepting proposals to recruit, train and place local unemployed, low-income and minority residents for full-time, sustainable careers in the redevelopment of brown fields. Activities may include training participants to handle and remove hazardous substances and assess and remediate potentially contaminated facilities. Nonprofit organizations and state and local governments are eligible. The department will award up to 13 grants, totaling $2.6 million. The deadline is Dec. 1. Click here for more information.
